In this part of the live, we discussed what we wish we had been given the opportunity to learn in high school. This reflection helped us think about the types of educational opportunities we can provide in the future to adult learners.
Higher education, as we know it, is being dismantled right before our eyes. For this Substack, it is important to ask, what do those of us with expertise that can be converted to education do now? What learning experiences should we be creating to meet the wants and needs of adult learners?
A good starting place in this conversation was to identify what we (and others) wanted and needed from education to have the lives we want for ourselves today. This exercise required us to go back further than higher education and post-high school training. We had to go at least as far back as high school.
