Are you fed by your feed?
Each day, a king’s buffet of content comes your way: either through your email or by you logging on to a platform. You are “fed” content. You are fed LOTS of content.
After you are fed daily, are you full? Are you full and nourished? Are you still hungry?
Are you taking in information that holds value for your business? -or- Are you filled with information that distracts and confuses you about what you should be doing today?
What about the information you never even taste? With so many enticing options, it is easy to miss or pick over relevant and much needed information.
This post is about fixing (curating) a plate of information that feeds your business. This is about taking in information you can turn into knowledge to make big, important decisions or to make the tiniest step forward.
A feed that nourishes your business will offer you meaningful information about, for example:
researching your market,
getting leads based on good research,
packaging your offers based on good research and
getting the personal support you need in business.
A nourishing feed will enable you to slowly turn the information you are fed into usable knowledge about:
which of your clients’ needs and wants you will respond to,
leads that work specifically for your business,
offers that feel fair to you and your clients and
what you need to feel safe in your business.
[btw: this conversation is not about your fun feed.]
If you are in business, you are a knowledge manager. You must have discriminating tastes. Your business depends on you to manage what comes in, what stays, how it is used and what goes out.
If you want to change something in your business soon, change your feed(s) and watch what happens.
