The one-to-one interview is an important tool in my business.
For the past month, I have been on a listening tour, listening to the needs and wants of ADHD (and other Neurodivergent) Entrepreneurs. This process has changed EVERYTHING in my business. This process has changed me.
This process has made me a student of my business. I am more curious. I am open to new possibilities of what my business can be.
These interviews have shown me where I am most effective. I am most effective with (and usually attract) ADHD Entrepreneurs who are in the planning to pre-growth stages. Here are the five stages in between:
Planning. You are mapping your ideas, doing market research, writing a business plan, lining up resources and processes, thinking about how you will talk to people about your business, etc.
Starting. You are creating services/products, marketing services/products, setting up workflows, invoicing and collecting payments, setting and meeting goals, etc.
Untangling what you have started. You have learned better ways to do things. You are offloading software you don’t need, getting clearer on where you should get advice, refining services/products, reconsidering who your ideal client is, examining where you might be wasting your time, setting new goals, etc.
Resetting what you have untangled. You are coming to terms with letting go of what seemed, on paper, like great ideas. You are beginning to connect with a more clearly defined audience. You are accepting the new soul and image of your business, etc.
Preparing for growth. You are putting systems in place that will allow you to attract more clients or engage the same number of clients at a deeper level. These systems will enable your business to operate as independently of you as you would like.
You can be in more than one of these stages at a time.

Hosting interviews is helping me untangle what I started. The untangling part has been huge for me. I have had many of the pieces for some time. I needed to understand what they mean to each other.
The ADHD Biz Plug has been part of resetting what I am untangling: connecting with a more clearly defined audience; accepting the new soul and image of my business.
Now, get ready for growth.
